CRITICAL INCIDENTS are sudden, unusually challenging events that generate a strong reaction (crisis). This reaction can manifest itself on different levels*:

  • Physical – our body
  • Emotional – our feeling
  • Cognitive – our thinking
  • Behaviour – our actions
  • Spiritual – our values and beliefs

About us

CIvH provides training to social support teams at work, buddies and other peer supporters in helping their colleagues who have experienced a critical incident in order to:*

  • Mitigate impact of event
  • Facilitate normal recovery processes in normal people who are having normal reactions to abnormal events
  • Restoration to adaptive function
  • When necessary: refer to a higher level of psychosocial support

CIvH has become a member of the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists (ATSS) in the United States.

On 4 and 5 December 2014 CIvH trained 15 Air France pilots in “Advanced Group Crisis Intervention”. It was a great pleasure to train this highly motivated and interested group.

The received evaluations were very positive and we are looking forward to the next training for Air France in February/March 2015.
